The Good Times.

Caspian & The Good Times @ Rust, 24.01.2009

It's been a good weekend. Friday I had a well-spent hour at Studenterhuset with a cup of tea (and free refills from the cute bartender) and Caspian & The Good Times. Liked it so much I decided to catch their proper show at Rust on Saturday which was also well amazing. Actually, Saturday at Rust was just a blast. Ended up jumping around and dancing like maniac to Tako Lako, whom I hadn't seen before. I used to go to school with the guy on percussion. 7th grade woodshop never sounded as good as it did when he went to town on whatever surface available to him.

Would've taken pictures of the ever-so-charismatic leadsinger and the mad crowd, but alas, my battery died during Caspian & The Good Times' final track. And, I was basically too busy dancing to even remember.

Currently watching the new Skins episode, and I must admit, this guy Freddie (actor Luke Pasqualino) might just redeem the show completely in my eyes from the horrible place I put it when they decided to replace almost the entire cast.

That was a long sentence, but seriously, look at him.

Anywho, don't have much time. Heading out for Caspian & The Good Times @ Studenterhuset this afternoon. Might not be completely sensible, I'm still sick as fuck, but maybe some neat acoustic folk is just the cure. At least in my ideal world it would be.

This one's my favorite. It literally gives me goosebumps.

Le Love

I'm sick sick sick, to the point where I had to miss my final exam today and pay the doctor $$$ for a declaration of illness (or whathefuckever) so I can take it in a few months instead. Great timing, illness! TNX!

So of course I've slept about 16 hours in the last 24 hours period and now I'm restless and sick and very alone on messenger at 1:53AM. It's not bad, I'm browsing Le Love and Le Smoking while listening to approx. 5 different versions of the epic Hallelujah (though not at once). Top 3 in order of preference: Jeff Buckley, Jason Castro, Rufus Wainwright.

I've also discovered that I desperately need to get my hands on Vogue US Februrary, just for these amazing photos of Agyness Deyn and Albert Hammond, Jr.

Just wow.

Definitely excited for Emmy The Great's debut album, First Love, to come out on February 2nd. I have very high hopes for this one. I love that she incorporates a little tribute to the unbeatable Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah in this song. Very neat.

Sha La Las @ Rust, 16.01.2009

more photos at my flickr

Unfortunately, we were late for Factory45. Heard it was awesome, though, which, du'h. Sha La Las actually surprised me in a good way. First time I've seen them live without anyone pulling the plug on a guitar, cutting off the electricity completely, or falling down head first on stage. It was fun.

And then I proceeded to take pictures of Mira.

Pwetty.

The new series begin on the 22nd. Now, I love Skins. Love love love. (it's all Ida's fault, btw). But I may have loved the previous two series and its cast too much to take in this completely ('cept for Effy) new one. I'll definitely be watching come the 22nd, I'm just anticipating quite a bit of scepticism on my part.

Tonight.

Especially excited about Gustav Foss. A 17 year-old guy from Esbjerg, no less. With lyrics about sex, girls, and alcohol mixed with some incredibly catchy hooks. Me likeee.

Happy new years - Poladroid style

There's finally a Windows version of the Poladroid software out. Just a beta, but so far I've encountered zero problems worth mentioning. Expect more photos like this, as I'm hooked (and I know, I'm pretty late, but ohhhh well).

Anywho. I had an awesome New Years. We were about 10 girls for dinner, which was really fun. Then moved on to an afterparty in a basement in suburban Copenhagen. I believe we were around 35 people at midnight. Awesome party. Will probably post more pictures later, but I've been completely dead all day. I've read a book and a half, watched almost the entire first season of Heroes on telly, and genereally just had my lazy bum planted safely on the couch. A lovely way to start the new year.

Here's to 2009 kicking 2008's ass!
