(a few more are on flickr, k?)

Last night was mad.

"Mission self-dicipline" = FAIL. Probably.

I'm insanely sore all over today. My legs are especially killing me, all black, blue, and purple. I've postponed my plans for tonight until tomorrow, and the rest of my Friday night will be spent watching the newest episodes of Skins and LOST. My life is terribly cool, I know.

It's quite likely that I won't post much in the upcoming week. Because that'll make SUCH a difference from now, right? Anywho, I'm moving back to KBH Ø. And why, yes, I'm very excited!

winter turned to spring.

the snow is gone. GONE! and look what I found today:

on Sunday, it'll be March. March as in SPRING. I feel my mood improving exponentially already, just from that realization.

(haha, very random, but oh so perfect in the context (even if it is my least played Setting Son track (and wow, I'm terrible at advertising!))).

After falling completely in love with She & Him, I gave M. Ward a second chance. I might've ended up loving his solo effort more than their collaborative work (Zooey Dechanel's voice, lovely as it is, gets a little tiring after a while). Anyway. M. Ward! His newest album, Hold Time, is nothing short of amazing. And it's absolutely perfect for walking along the lakes of Copenhagen with rosy cheeks, my usually black coat completely white in the front because of the constant snowfall.

Whatever season is current always ends up my favorite in the city. In the summer I love lounging in the parks with friends and slurpees. In the fall the colors are absolutely stunning. Now, in the winter, I love the snowfall and sort of even enjoy the refreshing cold. And in the spring, everything is just.. Bubbly.

Tomorrow I'm leaving an hour earlier than I really have to, just to take a walk around the hopefully at least semi-untouched white city. I'm all excited and shit.

I have no idea where the depressing emo kid that posted yesterday came from. She went away, though, as soon as I was on the train and headed for the city. Should've known it was the suburbs getting me down. Also, Caspian & The Good Times helped. Their music is so darn pretty it gives me the chills. I can see myself growing addicted to their live shows, though I'll try to keep it less than, say, Factory45. Haha.

Also saving my mood yesterday was this girl:

Again, haha!

All in all, it was a really great night. Beautiful music, beer and girly talk, Din Nye Ven, Floss, and some quite weird texts in my cell's outbox. I was obviously horribly teenage-drunk, but hey! That's my favorite kind.

Also a favorite, especially live:

extremely random bullets.

  • The sun was shining today. Finally some light! I'm sick of the color grey infesting everything and everyone, especially my mood.
  • I'm in a horrible mood these days. Almost no exception. I hate everything and have an extreme urge to just write "HHHHHHH" whenever anyone asks me ANYTHING. (y'know, "hhh", as in "sigh", just the sound? y'know? no?)
  • I'm counting on Caspian & The Good Times @ Raahuset tonight to make me smile. Last time I saw them they made my sickness fade. Or, well. I might've just been done being sick, but I like thinking of Caspian & The Good Times as my personal healers. Or something.
I have to leave in 3 minutes. Greeeaaat. I'm going to be late.

HHHHHHHHHHHH!!

;)

I love this version so much I've geeked out and ripped the audio to an mp3. IMO it's way better than the original. Even if I wish James Allen would just rip off the bloody sunglasses, already. It was bad enough on NMTB.

"Hi. We're blink-182. This past week there’ve been a lot of questions about the current status of the band, and we wanted you to hear it straight from us. To put it simply, We're back. We mean, really back. Picking up where we left off and then some. In the studio writing and recording a new album. Preparing to tour the world yet again. Friendships reformed. 17 years deep in our legacy.

Summer 2009.

Thanks and get ready..."
http://www.blink182.com/band/message.aspx

Omg. I didn't actually think it would happen?

"Preparing to tour the world"... Oh, I'm SO going. I don't care if I have to trek to Sweden, Germany, UK, whatever. I'm going.

This is just insane.

Love,
Unni, 15 years old.
Should really have gone to bed hours ago but instead I've spent the last many hours:

- Photoshopping old photos, specifically playing around with saturation, levels, and contrast in portraits.
- Playing The Sims 2 until my thingie died on me. Like, who needs food or sleep while pregnant anyways?
- Keeping an eye on the red carpet arrivals of the Grammy Awards.
- Watching YouTube videos.

Any chance someone could send me a carrier pigeon with a Coke ASAP???

It's probably a good thing I don't have class until 3:20PM tomorrow. 'night.

OMG! OMG! OMG!

The only word for this? AWESOME.

Recap for the lazy: Mark Hoppus, Travis Barker, AND Tom Delonge, are set to present an award at the Grammy Award show. Then apparently, Thursday, Angels & Airwaves guitarist David Kennedy talked about how AVA is putting out a record this year. And then let it slip that blink-182 is "coming back". When asked to clarify, he said "Yeah, putting out a record."

And Unni went OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGM
OMGOMGFGMOMGOMGOMGOMGOGMMG!!!

It's only been a few weeks since my last trip down nostalgia lane with blink-182, a trip that made me feel 14 again. I think everyone has that one band that defined their teens? blink-182 is mine. They're still my #2 overall band on last.fm, even if I only ever listen to it one or two times a year. And this is FUCKING EXCITING NEWS.

I can't imagine how completely mad I'd go at a reunion concert. I know it's probably unrealistic, but Unni-14-years-old would probably cry. And faint.

I can't stop going omg.

WTF.

The Killers were added to the line-up of fucking SKIVE BEACH PARTY. WHAT THE HELL IS THAT???

It seriously pisses me off because they're obviously not coming back just a month later for Roskilde, then. That just seems silly and unlikely. AND THAT SUCKS.

I sort of want to go to Skive now, which is fucked, because I can barely get the funds for a Roskilde ticket as it is, and bla bla fucking blah. Stupid. And I was SO nice about the above pictured outfit for the Spaceman video. Had an entire (drunk) post written about the stupidity of it, but I decided not to be so mean, because I love them and all. But now I'm just mad enough to post this ridiculous and entirely unrelated picture JUST BECAUSE HE LOOKS LIKE AN IDIOT. IN A SPACEMAN SUIT. WITH FEATHERS.

I'm starting to get a little too excited about that caps lock key, so, in other news: Emmy The Great's new album came out yesterday and it's pretty, though I think I like the old demo versions better. I had my first real class today and I think I'm going to throw up the next time someone asks me to analyze an Obama speech. Also went to brunch with a bunch of my classmates, talking about movies for almost two hours. Tomorrow I'm having lunch between classes with my favorite New Yorker, and then I get to see the insides of the new DR "koncerthus", which is pretty exciting. Hope they'll let me take photos. It's supposed to be pretty.

I'm rambling. I'll just go away and watch the new episodes of How I Met Your Mother, House, and Gossip Girl back to back.

XOXO!

Factory45 + Little Man Tate @ Loppen, 28.01.2009

I feel so behind on my editing, not getting to these until today. And I still have the ones from last night's Altmodisch EP release to deal with. BTW, that was probably one of the most interesting EP releases I've ever been to. I can definitely recommend serving your audience free popcorn and homemade chocolate cake after the concert, while you show them your new awesome music video. Very cool.

I'm off to watch the SuperBowl (go Cardinals!) with some of my favorite Americans and CBS students tonight. Tomorrow is the first day of the new semester and I feel like there's no better way to prepare for it than to pull an allnighter.
